Here's my first professional head shot. I had already started messing up my hair at this point, but covered it with a rinse so I could get one of those looks that are so appealing to commercial agents. My commercial acting career lasted about one audition. I could have taken acting classes and learned the business, but I wanted to be a monologist. I couldn't see working away my entire life, just to be the Maytag® Repairman. I felt that if I put as much effort into my routine, as most commercial actors put into their acting, I would be famous. Unfortunately thanks to my penchant for controversy, celebrity never tapped my shoulder. Now, fifteen years later, I long to be the Maytag® Repairman. |
