Every month, Tim submits a few blurbs that get published in Liberty Magazine in the Reflections section. There's been a few requests  to archive some of them. We have compiled them into pages by year. These are posted  as  submitted, so they are unedited, probably a little rough, and even though they are now published here with the permission of Liberty, they are not necessarily as they appeared in Liberty

 

In 1992, Tim began publishing a crudely orchestrated Newsletter, later named "The National," which grew over the next seven years, to a size beyond his ability to continue. Due to popular demand, We've compiled a few of the Issues here, and intend to eventually archive the entire seven year run. Popular features of each issue include the Government at Work for You Award; Hey Slagle!;and cont. on A26, a satirical look at articles from newspapers that will be published in the future
Volume II #3  This issue, almost published in February of 1999, contains: a story on getting searched on a trip to Washington DC for the July Fourth weekend; an explanation for the haircut; the first and last appearance of Dave Fulton's Movie Corner; and an article sent  by a hippie.
Volume II #2  This issue,  published on  April 8, 1998; reports back from the Red Star State, where Tim got into a heated debate with a group of Minnesota Socialists; analyzes Willie's Willy and Willey; and Awards US Magistrate Thomas Coffin  for standing up to the PGA..
Volume II #1 
This issue,  published on  November 11, 1997 remembers Princess Di, and throws a little dirt on the grave. It also explores the lack of science behind environmentalism, and the lack of environmentalism behind the San Francisco Cable Car. Also a photograph of an Albino Elephant, and Award for the FDA.

Volume I #4 
This issue,  published on  March 13, 1997, takes a few potshots at the Natural Food Industry, covers the Democratic Convention in Chicago, and Awards Air Bag Mandates. A surprise appearance by Guardian Angel.
Volume I #3  This issue,  published on  August 3, 1996 wonders why the Olympics are so boring, replies to recyclers angered by the last issue, and sees Frank Sinatra condemned to emphysema
Volume I #2  This issue,  published on February 8, 1996 celebrates Chicago's ridiculous new recycling program, and mocks recyclers worldwide, peeks into the horrific future of wildlife management, and shares a few drinks with Guardian Angel.
